Built by lifters, for lifters
GainLogger is an independent workout tracker made by people who actually train — not a venture-funded habit tracker.
Why we built GainLogger
We started GainLogger for a selfish reason: every workout tracker we tried either hid the basics behind a paywall or buried logging under social feeds and ads. We wanted to walk into the gym, log sets, reps, and weight in seconds, and see whether we were actually getting stronger. So we built it.
The core of GainLogger — logging sessions, tracking progressive overload, and building reusable workout templates — is free forever, on iOS and Android, with companion apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS. No credit card to start, no data held hostage.
What we believe
- Progressive overload is the whole game. Add a little weight, a rep, or a set over time. Everything else is decoration.
- Consistency beats intensity. A program you can stick to for a year beats a perfect one you abandon in week 3.
- Honest tracking. Your log is for you. We will not inflate your numbers or manufacture fake progress.
- Free core, forever. The basics of getting stronger should not sit behind a subscription.
Who writes the blog
The GainLogger Training Team writes every post on the blog — programming guides, tracking methods, and honest product updates. We are lifters first: the same people who build the app, log in it daily, and care about the details that make a workout tracker usable between sets.
If a topic needs depth we do not have, we say so and point you to better sources rather than bluff. The goal is content a serious lifter can actually trust.
